What is E-Domain Management in Configuration Assistant?

Oracle Config Assistant (CA) now includes a new tab labeled “E-Domain”. This feature allows administrators to manage email domains and associated configurations across Oracle B2C Service environments.

Resolution

From the E-Domain tab, customers can perform the following actions:

  • Add a Domain
  • Delete a Domain
  • Add DKIM for a Domain
  • Delete DKIM for a Domain
  • Add Approved Sender for a Domain
  • Delete Approved Sender for a Domain

1. Add Domain

Here customers can associate an email domain with one or more Oracle B2C Service sites.

  • To add an email domain please follow these steps to add an email domain in the Configure Email Domain section.
    • Operation: This is a dropdown field. Select Add Domain.
    • Select Sites: This is a required field. Select one or more site to add an email domain. 
    • Domain: Add the email domain to this required field.
    • Select Submit
      • Upon successful addition, a success message is displayed in a popup.
      • If the operation fails, a corresponding error message is shown.

2. Delete Domain

This enables the user to remove an email domain.

  • To remove an email domain please follow these steps to add an email domain in the Configure Email Domain section.
    • Operation: This is a dropdown field. Select Delete Domain
    • Domain: Add the email domain to this required field.
    • Select Submit
      • Upon successful addition, a success message is displayed in a popup.
      • If the operation fails, a corresponding error message is shown.

3. Add DKIM for a Domain

Here customers can generate and register DKIM keys for a selected domain.

  • To add a DKIM for a domain, follow these steps in the Configure DKIM section. 
    • Operation: This is a dropdown field. Select Add DKIM
    • Domain: Add the email domain to this required field.
    • Selector: This is a required field. A selector is a unique label that identifies the specific public key for an email’s DKIM signature, and it should be different from selectors used for DKIMs on your other domains.
    • Select Submit
      • Upon successful addition, a success message is displayed in a popup.
      • If the operation fails, a corresponding error message is shown.

4. Delete DKIM for a Domain

This allows selection of a domain and a specific DKIM selector to delete the key.

  • To remove a DKIM for a domain, follow these steps in the Configure DKIM section. 
    • Operation: This is a dropdown field. Select Delete DKIM
    • Domain: Add the email domain to this required field.
    • Selector: This is a required field. A selector is a unique label that identifies the specific public key for an email’s DKIM signature, and it should be different from selectors used for DKIMs on your other domains.
    • Select Submit
      • Upon successful addition, a success message is displayed in a popup.
      • If the operation fails, a corresponding error message is shown.

5. Add Approved Sender for a Domain

This enables adding an approved email sender for a given domain.

To add an approved sender, follow these steps in the Configure Approved Senders section.

  • Operation: This is a dropdown field. Select Add Approved Sender.
  • Domain: Add the email domain to this required field.
  • Approved Sender: This is a required field. An Approved Sender is a registered email address or domain that authorizes sending emails through the service, with wildcard approval allowed only if DKIM is configured for the domain.
  • Select Submit
    • Upon successful addition, a success message is displayed in a popup.
    • If the operation fails, a corresponding error message is shown.


6. Delete Approved Sender for a Domain

This facilitates removal of an approved sender from a domain.

  • To remove an approved sender, follow these steps in the Configure Approved Senders section.
    • Operation: This is a dropdown field. Select Delete Approved Sender
    • Domain: Add the email domain to this required field.
    • Approved Sender: This is a required field. An Approved Sender is a registered email address or domain that authorizes sending emails through the service, with wildcard approval allowed only if DKIM is configured for the domain.
    • Select Submit
      • Upon successful addition, a success message is displayed in a popup.
      • If the operation fails, a corresponding error message is shown.
